# Embed Reply to Interaction

> Send an embed response to an interaction.

- Only works in flows started by an interaction trigger (slash commands, buttons, dropdowns, modals, context menus).

**Inputs**

| `allow_mentions` |  | Choose which mention types should notify users. Empty or None disables all pings. None overrides other selections. Unselected mentions are displayed without pinging. | `"None"`, `"Everyone/Here"`, `"Roles"`, `"Users"` |
| `update_original_message` |  | For component interactions and modals opened from a component, edit the original message instead of sending a new interaction response. Ignored otherwise. | `"true"`, `"false"` |
| `ephemeral` |  | Only visible to the user who triggered the interaction. Only applies to the initial response. | `"true"`, `"false"` |
| `content` |  | Plain text shown above the embed container. |  |
| `title` |  | Heading text shown inside the embed container. |  |
| `description` |  | Description text shown inside the embed container. |  |
| `thumbnail_image_url` |  | Thumbnail shown beside the embed section. |  |
| `color` |  | Hexadecimal color code for the embed accent bar. | e.g. `"#0099ff"` |
| `image_url` |  | Large image shown below the embed section. |  |
| `footer_text` |  | Small footer text shown at the bottom of the embed section. |  |
| `buttons` |  | Up to 25 buttons. Automatically grouped into rows of 5. | blocks: `func() { ... }` with only `advmsgcmp_interaction_button*` blocks |
